Preschool fun activities for kids and children

There are several activities that can be done by real kids, I mean preschooler kids, who still do not have proper understanding of language. I was asked by fellow hubber cashmere on my last hub of summer activities to suggest some activities for small kids. Activities for small kids must be chosen very carefully, as kids are very fast learners so little ignorance can harm them or may leave a bad memory.

The very basic activity is to give them some pencil/color (not very sharp edged) and some drawing sheets. By this they will learn to hold the pencil and that will help them when they start reading and writing. When they will do some sketching, things will be visible to them and later you can make some sketches like faces, different body parts, animals which will help them learn fast and to know the things better.

Give them a toy laptop/mini-computer with some music and display, so they start liking computers and will help them developing interest when they will start using them in real. Make them play with balls; I mean tennis ball, foot-ball. It will develop some interest towards sport and will also help in developing concentration. There are many educational toys available in the market which helps the child to learn things while playing, like you can go for abacus,
which can be first used as a toy and then can be used to learn the counting and tables. So these kind of toys can be used to learn the numbers and alphabets with fun.

Some clays are also available in the market with which the kid can make different figures and those clays are non toxic in nature, so it wont harm your child as such and it will help your kid to learn things better.

Besides this there are some activities or things that should be avoided:

- Use only colors that are non-toxic in nature, do not give water-colors.
- Do not give sharp edged things and toys and even do not put near your child's reach.
- Do not make him/her watch TV at this age even not to stop the crying.
- Always try to observe the child while playing to avoid eating non-edible items.

So get your kid some educational toys, balls, drawing items and make him learn the things with fun and enjoyment. But do not over-do the learning activities as this is the age to enjoy and relax and not to over burden your child right from birth. Let him/her play and enjoy the kids life, whole life is there to study and understand the world.
